About
Premier: 2019, Yuva Bharati, Palo Alto, California

Art knows no bounds; it transcends barriers and unites all beings. In the realm of dance, individual identities dissolve, giving way to the pure expression of the art itself. Samyu stands as a testament to the profound and transformative power of dance.

Nitya Narasimhan and Kassiyet, two artists hailing from diverse backgrounds, training, and artistic approaches, converge to explore a fundamental truth: dance is a unifying force. Through their collaboration, they delve into the intrinsic ability of dance to foster connection and trust, dismantling barriers in a magical and indescribable manner. Indeed, dance serves as a universal language, communicating joy and forging enduring bonds.

In Samyu, these dancers celebrate the inherent unity that dance brings forth, presenting unique pieces of Bharatanatyam that resonate with this shared experience of interconnectedness.
